You may have noticed I haven’t been publishing in a while. Been a lot going on, medically at least. Had to step back at work to a part-time schedule because it became to hard to keep up with the pace of a full week. My guess is this is due to the cancer and treatment from a few years ago. So most of my time has been spent trying to get my work schedule set up.
In other news, I have been able to start doing some things I’d had to stop before. So am back to taking pictures of cats for the local shelter. Yesterday, the shelter had a “Volunteer Appreciation Potluck” which was very nice of them. If you are in the Albuquerque area and looking for a pet cat, check out the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department!
It is currently “kitten season” where many kittens are born and shelters are overwhelmed with the number of cats and kittens coming into shelters. Please spay and neuter your pets, and if you can adopt or foster, the help is much appreciated!
More mountain lions have been encountered by hikers in the Sandia Mountains, as noted in this article. Once again, please be careful and follow hiking safety tips when hiking where predators also roam. With the oncoming of spring, bears are also coming out of hibernation.
